Cusco
Cusco, America's archaeological capital and Cultural Heritage of Humanity, is a world-class tourist attraction. It is located at 3'328 meters above sea level (10'500 ft), one hour away from Lima by air. Cusco is one of the centers with the highest tourist activity in South America. It is a cosmopolitan city where history is present in each step we make. It is located in a wide cozy valley surrounded by mountains, where we can find the fabulous megalithic ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko amphitheater, the water sources in Tambomachay (also known as the Inca's Baths) and Puca Pucara. These sites are magnificent testimonies of the Inca culture, one of the most advanced cultures in pre-Columbian America. The annual average temperature is 11º C (maximum: 17º C / minimum: –2º C).
